In February, it received the Hangzhou Education delegation-Anji Road Experimental Middle School and Guancheng Middle School outstanding teachers and students from the East United States-China Exchange Group, and signed contracts with Valley Forge Military Academy and O'Hara Middle School for them to start various exchanges, becoming sister schools.

In July, the Sino-American Business & Travel Association arranged for the "Yangzhou Little Envoy" to walk into the Chinese Consulate General in New York. Consulate General Zhang Qiyue met with the students cordially. Counsellor Xu Yongji introduced the general situation of the Consulate General, the Consular District in New York and related content such as Sino-US cultural exchanges to the students in a concise and easy-to-understand manner.
