Since the Spring Festival in 2010, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, together with relevant ministries and commissions, local cultural organizations and foreign institutions, has launched a large-scale cultural exchange series of "Joyful Spring Festival", with the aim of celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year with people from all over the world, sharing the Chinese culture, and building a harmonious world together.
The upcoming Spring Festival in 2024 will coincide with the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. The Spring Festival is regarded as an important point in traditional Chinese culture to bid farewell to the old and welcome the new. We invite you to join us at the 2024 East Coast "Happy Chinese New Year" Humping for the Year of the Dragon Ice and Snow Carnival to welcome the Year of the Dragon in 2024 with Chinese people around the globe, and to open a new chapter of a different future.
The 2024 "Happy Chinese New Year" Ice Carnival Official Celebration is organized by the China Tourism Office in New York (the overseas agency of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism) and the U.S. State Tourism Bureau of Pennsylvania, with the special support of the Consulate General of China in New York, the U.S.-China Business Tourism Association and the Window on Philadelphia, together with the Camelback Ski Resort and Spa of Pennsylvania, to jointly create a global Chinese New Year feast for Chinese tourists and the Chinese diaspora both inside and outside of the United States!
This event spreads the traditional Chinese culture to all corners of the world by using the Spring Festival celebration as a vehicle. In a joyful and festive atmosphere, we can experience the charm of Chinese civilization. The rich and colorful activities of the "Happy Chinese New Year" celebration have further broadened the channels of friendly exchanges between Chinese and American people and deepened the imprint of cultural exchanges between China and the United States. Through the form of global live broadcast with the world, across the distance of space, together to celebrate the Chinese New Year!
North America's famous ski resort mecca - Camelback Mountain, with 39 ski trails of different levels of difficulty and 166 acres of ski terrain, professional ski venues and equipment to meet the needs of different levels of skiing enthusiasts. 2024 February 5 - February 7, we will be set to Camelback Mountain, into the world of snow and ice, to create a period of three days of exciting activities. At the same time, Humpback Mountain Resort can also enjoy a wealth of entertainment programs, including a large indoor water park, gaming casino, hot springs and so on. In the middle of the world of snow and ice, experience the warm fun of entertainment.
The main event of the celebration will kick off with a VIP reception on February 6, followed by a dinner and Chinese-American cultural performances. The event will feature guests from China and the U.S. in a variety of fields, including politics, business, culture, education, and sports. People from all walks of life gathered together to enjoy the wonderful sparks of the collision between Chinese and American cultural performances. The program includes traditional Chinese cultural programs such as opera, martial arts, and dance. It also included American pop culture programs such as band performances. At the end of the performance, we will hold a ceremony to light up the colorful lanterns of the Year of the Dragon, so as to welcome the beginning of the New Year. The event site is carefully decorated with all kinds of colored lights indoors and outdoors. Under the colorful lights, the 20-meter-long outdoor main dragon lantern will be lit up and the gorgeous fireworks will bloom in the night sky as all the guests present count down. At the same time, one hundred professional skiers in fluorescent costumes will glide down from the top of the mountain in sequence, passing from side to side, forming a spectacular dragon shape. At this moment, numerous elements symbolizing the Chinese Year of the Dragon will bring the rich New Year atmosphere to its highest point. The unique charm of the snow and ice world brings everyone's wonderful expectations for the new year!
In order to preserve the wonderful memories of this "Happy Chinese New Year" celebration, we have designed the 2024 Year of the Dragon souvenirs with traditional Chinese characteristics. The symbolism of the Chinese New Year is visualized in dolls, backpacks, T-shirts, coins and other souvenirs with the image of the dragon. This is the blessing from the dragon, the blessing from China!
