The Sino-American Business and Travel Association (SABTA) was recently invited to the Ghanaian Embassy in the U.S. to attend a reception marking Ghana’s 69th Independence Day. The event gathered diplomatic, business, and community leaders to celebrate the milestone and foster cross-cultural exchange.

 

During the reception, Ghanaian representatives shared insights into the country’s development journey and future vision. Ghana, a key player in West Africa, continues to play an active role in regional cooperation and international engagement.

 

Zhang Wenlong, President of SABTA, noted that the invitation reflects the strength of Philadelphia’s multicultural ties and opens doors for future collaboration in education, culture, and business. He thanked the Ghanaian Embassy for its warm hospitality and expressed interest in expanding international partnerships.

 

In related news, Ghana’s national football team is scheduled to visit Philadelphia this June for a 2026 World Cup-related event, highlighting the city’s growing role in global sports and cultural exchange.

Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama is set to visit Philadelphia on March 27 for a series of diplomatic and community engagements. The visit includes a public event hosted by the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, where he will receive an international affairs award in recognition of his contributions to democratic governance and global cooperation.

Ghana, a political and economic hub in West Africa since its independence in 1957, continues to strengthen ties with U.S. cities like Philadelphia, a historic center for education, culture, and international partnership.
